In Yoga tradition, the human body has seven main energy centres called chakras, located along the spine.
The chakras are the most precious link we have to our energetic body and each chakra has it’s own attributes manifesting in our lives. The chakras affect our body, emotions, intellect and overall wellbeing. When energy becomes blocked or stagnant in a chakra we feel imbalanced or unstable in an area of our life.
In this workshop we will explore the attributes of each of these seven energetic wheels from the root to the crown utilising mantra, asana and high intention. For all the Yin lovers, we will explore the profound link between the chakras and the meridians originating from Chinese medicine explored in the Yin yoga practice.
Taking an empowering approach to purifying the chakras, we’ll move through a series of poses sequenced according to the chakra system.
This practice will instigate a change in perception to make way for discovering our true nature. When releasing stagnant energy we are able to address our relationships with our parents, family, partners, everyone around, as well as our teachers and our selves and hone in on possible root causes of our emotional, mental and physical challenges.
